The high standard consistently set by the sporting sector of Kyabram has shone through again in Victoria’s Community Sport and Recreation Awards.
Member for Murray Plains and Leader of the Nationals Peter Walsh said he was thrilled to see that Kyabram’s Peter Tindale has been named in the 24 finalists chosen from thousands of entries across the State.
“Peter’s dedication to the Kyabram Swimming Club has earned him a spot as one of three finalists in the Community Umpire or Referee/Official of the Year “ Mr Walsh said.
“The awards have a long-standing reputation for celebrating the passion of people who make a real difference in their local community and embody the true spirit of sport.
“With a place in the final three Peter is clearly in that category “ Mr Walsh said.
The winner of each category will collect $3 000 while the runners up will win $1 000 each.
The Community Sport and Recreation Awards will be held on Monday November 9 at the MCG and Mr Walsh wished Peter all the very best for a great night.
