Leader of the Nationals and Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh today encouraged not-for-profit organisations in the Murray Plains electorate to apply for funding from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR).
Grants of up to $5000 are available to help communities of 10 000 or fewer under the foundation’s Small Grants for Rural Communities (SGRC) program.
Mr Walsh said that any project that contributes to the development of a community’s social and community welfare economic environmental health education or cultural areas can make a strong case for funding under any of four categories :
- Strong Leadership & Community Capacity
- Sustainable Community Infrastructure
- Equitable Access to Opportunities
- Vibrant Local Economies
“If you are unsure if your project is eligible you should contact FRRR on 1800 170 020 during office hours to discuss your ideas “ Mr Walsh said.
Round 32 opens on the 14th August 2017 and groups have until September 27 2017 to get their applications in.
