Background
Today Agriculture Minister Jaala Pulford refused to condemn former Labor Member for Northern Victoria Candy Broad for rorting Victorian taxpayers’ money.
The Ombudsman’s investigation into Labor’s “˜Red Shirts’ rorts named Ms Broad now chair of PrimeSafe among 21 Labor MPs who employed electorate officers at taxpayers’ expense in the Labor Party’s 2014 election campaign.
The Ombudsman found Candy Broad rorted $5925 for the campaigns of Bendigo East MP Jacinta Allan – now a Minister – and Yan Yean MP Danielle Green.
Jaala Pulford defended Ms Broad when asked in Parliament today by The Nationals’ Member for Northern Victoria Luke O’Sullivan why she still sat on the PrimeSafe board.
