Leader of The Nationals and Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh is encouraging local women involved in primary industries who are passionate about their work and their community to nominate for the 2019 Rural Women’s Award.
Mr Walsh said the 2019 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award identifies and supports emerging female leaders who want to create impact innovate and make a difference to rural and regional Australia.
He said that applicants can live in rural and regional Australia or in the city but their applications will be measured on the impact and benefits to rural and regional Australia.
“I encourage women in the Murray Plains Electorate who are actively contributing to rural industries and regional communities to apply for the award” he said.
The winner of the award will receive a $10 000 bursary to bring their idea or project to life access to professional development opportunities and national Alumni networks.
Nominations for the 2019 Rural Women’s Award are open now and close on 31 October 2018.
