The redevelopment of Echuca Ambulance Station announced by the State Government today follows on from the new stations delivered by the Liberal-Nationals Government in Swan Hill and Kerang.
Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh said the current Echuca Ambulance Station was ageing and in need of a rebuild.
“This announcement means the Murray Plains region will have new ambulance stations in Echuca Swan Hill and Kerang “ Mr Walsh said.
“It’s so important to support the outstanding work of our local ambulance staff and paramedics. Those based in Echuca will now have more modern and comfortable facilities to work in.”
Mr Walsh said the next step was to secure a local Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) single responder unit for Echuca – a specialised vehicle for MICA paramedics.
“The Liberal-Nationals Coalition also made an election commitment to provide a MICA unit for Echuca and I will continue to pursue that for our region “ Mr Walsh said.
