Another week, another Allan Labor Government sidestep and back pedal – this time on gas.
Premier Allan’s latest U-turn is another example of the Labor Government’s chaos and mismanagement.
The Premier implemented unrealistic renewables targets, shut off gas in favour of electricity, but has now realised gas is critical to Victoria’s energy future.
Sadly, Premier Allan has been unable to differentiate her new gas policy from her old. The reason being, they are exactly the same.
Gas cooktops can be installed or upgraded in existing dwellings, but Labor’s road map will still ban connections to new developments and all gas appliances in rental properties.
Victorians need strong, stable leadership, not knee-jerk reactions that hurt families.
The Allan Labor Government was simply dreaming with its radical gas changes.
It’s time the Allan Government focus on slashing our skyrocketing energy bills amid a cost-of-living crisis.
Labor can’t manage energy and regional Victorians are paying the price.
