The Leader of The Nationals and Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh is encouraging councils not-for-profit service providers and schools to apply for funding under the Inclusive Kindergartens Facilities Program.
Mr Walsh said grants are available to upgrade kindergarten buildings and playgrounds and to buy equipment to provide a more inclusive environment for children with disabilities and additional needs.
Applications for building and playground upgrade projects ranging from $15 000 to $200 000 close on April 30.
Applications for the purchase of new equipment between $2 000 and $10 000 close on March 26.
No co-contribution is required for either category.
“This is a great opportunity for service operators and I hope to see many services in the Murray Plains electorate make the most of it” Mr Walsh said.
