Leader of The Nationals and Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh has encouraged interested community members to comment on Parks Victoria’s River Red Gum Parks Draft Management Plan.
The plan is intended to be a strategic guide for managing and protecting five national parks and more than 100 other parks and reserves in northern Victoria.
The area includes the floodplains and banks of the Murray Ovens and Goulburn rivers including Swan Hill the Gunbower Forest the Kerang National Park and the Nyah-Vinifera Park.
“The direction of future management of these parks and reserves in each of the key management strategies is of imperative importance to the electorate” Mr Walsh said.
“I am strongly encouraging all stakeholders to have their say.”

Submissions must be received by 30 September 2017.
