Community members are encouraged to nominate hard-working and dedicated young people for a Victorian Young Achiever Award.
Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh said there were many young people making a difference in the Murray Plains electorate and who deserved to have their efforts recognised.
“We have so many hard working talented and community-minded young people in our region who are making a difference in people’s lives” Mr Walsh said.
“These awards are an opportunity to say thank you and to recognise their efforts.”
Mr Walsh said the aim of the awards was to encourage reward and promote the positive achievements of young Victorians who were inspiring pride and unity in their community.
“Young people up to the age of 29 are eligible to be nominated and I encourage everyone to consider taking this opportunity to recognise a worthy young person in their life” Mr Walsh said.
“Nominations are being sought across a number of categories including arts and fashion small business community social impact health and leadership.
“I encourage anyone who knows a young person who has gone that extra distance to tell their story and nominate them for this exciting recognition.”
Nominations are now open and must be received by 18 December 2017. For more information or to nominate a young achiever visit http://awardsaustralia.com/young-achiever-awards/vic/
