Questions Without Notice – Drought Relief
5th February 2019
Mr Walsh: My question is to the Premier. The situation for dairy farmers in northern Victoria is dire. Murray Dairy is now sahying that a third of dairy farms in northern Victoria will close. The perfect storm of drought and industry downturn has led to low milk prices high feed costs and high water prices. Premier will your government provide shire rate relief and payment of fixed water charges to help these struggling farmers in northern Victoria and drought-affected farmers in Gippsland?
