Leader of The Nationals and Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh has encouraged Year 9 and 10 students to apply for the 2016-17 Premier’s Spirit of ANZAC Prize.
The Premier’s Spirit of ANZAC Prize will provide 22 students with the opportunity to participate in an overseas study tour of Lemnos Gallipoli and the Western Front.
Mr Walsh said the Prize encourages young people to question what the ANZAC spirit means today in a diverse and multicultural Australia.
“It asks them to reflect what it would be like to grow up in a family which had been affected in this way? What was the impact on women on the community and most of all on the expectations and responsibilities of young people their age” he said.
Students can submit essays poems short stories audio or video presentations musical compositions a webpage or artwork as part of their presentations.
