Leader of The Nationals and Member Murray Plains Peter Walsh is encouraging sport shooting
clubs in the electorate to take advantage of the Shooting Sports Facilities Program.
“Shooting involves a high level of proficiency and it is important that our rural communities have good
facilities to nurture those skills and to support the safe and responsible use of firearms “ Mr Walsh said.
Mr Walsh said grants of up to $100 000 were available for a number of categories
- Upgrades to ageing clubrooms
- New facilities for the female participants
- Improve access for people living with disabilities
- Development of new rifle ranges target systems and shooting platforms
