Grants Open for Sport Shooting Clubs

Leader of The Nationals and Member Murray Plains, Peter Walsh, is encouraging sport shooting
clubs in the electorate to take advantage of the Shooting Sports Facilities Program.
“Shooting involves a high level of proficiency and it is important that our rural communities have good
facilities to nurture those skills and to support the safe and responsible use of firearms,” Mr Walsh said.
Mr Walsh said grants of up to $100,000 were available for a number of categories
- Upgrades to ageing clubrooms
- New facilities for the female participants
- Improve access for people living with disabilities
- Development of new rifle ranges, target systems and shooting platforms
