Grants Awarded for National Youth Week
17 March 2015
Swan Hill Rural City Council and Northern District Community Health have been awarded grants of $2,000 each to hold events and activities as part of National Youth Week 2015, Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh said today.
“National Youth Week is a celebration of young people and the important role they play in our communities,” Mr Walsh said.
“It is a joint initiative of the Australian, state and local governments which gives young people an opportunity to express their ideas and views, act on issues that affect their lives, and create and enjoy activities and events.
I look forward to seeing the projects that have been funded in the district, including various FReeZA functions and the Swan Hill Freestyle Skate & BMX Competition.
National Youth Week will take place between 10 and 19 April. For more information please visit www.youthcentral.vic.gov.au/nyw
