Echuca Kinders Receive Funding Boost

19 October 2015

Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh has congratulated two Echuca kindergartens on their successful applications for funding for minor infrastructure and technology.

“This funding is great news for kindergarten families in Echuca as their children will be able to directly benefit from these upgraded early years services,” Mr Walsh said.

The Minor Infrastructure Expansion Grants are designed to help improve productivity outcomes for kindergartens and assist with better delivery of programs and services.

The successful Echuca kindergartens are :

Echuca East Preschool                              $12,667.84

Echuca Central Preschool                         $ 6,159.00

Mr Walsh said the value of early childhood education and the opportunities it provides for children to learn, develop and have fun cannot be underestimated.

“It is well recognized that the early years of life are the most important for learning and that’s when the foundations for the future are laid.

“We are very fortunate  in Echuca to offer families high quality early childhood programs and that is a direct reflection of the wonderful service provided by our many skilled and dedicated educators and the outstanding efforts of the volunteer parents’ committees who support them,” he said.
