MP Visits Swan Hill College

6 March 2015

The Nationals Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh today visited Swan Hill College to meet with

the senior teachers, student leaders and students of Years 11 and 12.

During the visit, Mr Walsh addressed the students on  the subject of leadership.

“School captains take on important leadership roles which require a shared responsibility from all

students to ensure the school functions well and gets support,” he said.

Mr Walsh said he is consistently impressed with the young people of today.

“They have fantastic potential, are well educated and smart, with a great view of life and complete faith

 in the future.

Mr Walsh said he really enjoyed his time at Swan Hill College and hoped the visit was mutually

beneficial, allowing young people direct access to their local member.

It is crucially important that as a member of parliament I truly understand the issues that are

important to our young people,”  he said.
